Coronavirus

Dear Relief Staff Members,

While the situation changes daily, we are using the following as our latest updated guidelines when schools re-open at the start of Term 2.

Before any relief staff member accepts a school booking and/or attends a booking, it is imperative that you read the following....

Symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) relate to a fever or respiratory symptoms - these can include a cough, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, a sore throat, or a runny nose. If you, or anyone in your immediate family, develop these symptoms, the advice is to see a doctor. Please note that if you or anyone in your family is unwell with symptoms associated with this virus, we are seeking your co-operation that you please seek medical advice and stay at home.

Therefore, please ensure that you/they are fully well and cleared by a doctor before considering to work at a school.

While media and public commentary in relation to COVID-19 continues to raise concerns for many, public health authorities are advising that the current risk remains low in Western Australia.  We will therefore continue to respond to the formal advice and guidelines from public health authorities, government agencies and governance authorities.

It is your sole responsibilty to follow their health advice and guidelines:

  • Before considering if you will accept a school booking request.
  • When Attending a booking - The school may have specific requirements which you will have to adhere to without exception.

The above advice and guidelines also applies to all parents/carers, contractors, visitors and volunteers on school sites.
